This week’s article, Bill Laimbeer’s Combat Basketball vs. Breath of Fire 2, is about how I fell in love with the cheapest Super Nintendo game in the store, and find the most expensive and revered game in the store to be a pompous and tedious bore.
So, what better introduction to Breath of Fire 2 than this, my .GIF-flipbook highlights of the THIRTY-PLUS MINUTES of introduction you have to play through before you can actually, you know, start buying weapons and fighting enemies.
I guess that’s not entirely correct: you go through TWO fights during the “introduction”…but you can’t possibly win them. Still, they last for a handful of rounds before you “lose”, thus advancing the plot!
